About Ramsgate Vet

Ramsgate Vet is the local choice for Kogarah pet owners looking for experienced, compassionate veterinary care without the wait. Located just 2 kilometres south on Rocky Point Road, our clinic offers the full range of services your dog or cat needs — from routine vaccinations and blood tests to soft tissue surgery, dental care, and emergency consultations. Kogarah is one of Sydney's most diverse and densely populated suburbs, home to thousands of pet-owning families across its mix of houses and apartments. Whether you're a long-term Kogarah local or recently moved to the area, Ramsgate Vet is your nearest full-service vet hospital. Our team includes Dr Clarence Ng, who speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin fluently, making it easy for multilingual families to communicate with confidence about their pet's health.

Why Ramsgate Vet?

  • Close to Kogarah — easy to reach by car or public transport

Our clinic at 231 Rocky Point Road, Ramsgate is a short drive from Kogarah's main streets. For pet owners without a car, we're accessible from Kogarah Station via a quick bus or rideshare ride. We offer flexible appointment times Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 8pm, Saturdays 10am to 4pm, and Sunday emergency care from 10am to 12pm — making it easy to fit a vet visit around your schedule.

  • Multilingual care for Kogarah's diverse community

Kogarah is home to a significant Cantonese and Mandarin-speaking community. Dr Clarence Ng, one of our experienced veterinarians, is fully fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He brings specialist experience in radiology, surgery, oncology, and ultrasonography — and a genuine commitment to building long-term relationships with the families he cares for. You'll always leave with a clear understanding of your pet's health.

  • A full-service hospital — not just a GP clinic

Kogarah pet owners have access to the complete range of veterinary services at Ramsgate Vet. We handle everything from puppy vaccinations and microchipping through to orthopaedic surgery, laser therapy, diagnostic imaging, and specialist referrals — all under one roof. Our in-house lab delivers same-day blood results, and our cattery provides safe, supervised boarding for cats when you travel.

  • A family-run clinic that treats your pet like one of its own

Founded by Dr Nima Rahmani — who has been practising veterinary medicine since 2004 — Ramsgate Vet was built on the same values he established at Vets on Crown: unhurried appointments, transparent pricing, and real compassion for every patient. We work with flexible payment options for families who need them, and will always provide a written treatment estimate before any procedure begins.

I have recently moved to the area and needed to take my reactive little chihuahua to a new vet. RVH has been the first Vet we've gone to that's pointed out my little dogs heart problems. This team are all angels sent from heaven, I can't thank them enough for treating my boy with urgency and truly going above and beyond. After receiving quite confronting news regarding my dog during my first visit to RVH, these angels have shown nothing but kindness, empathy and compassion to my dog and I. My dogs primary care team has been Nurse Jess and Dr Marnie with v special mention to Dr Tiffany <3
