At just over a kilometre from central Monterey, Ramsgate Vet is the most convenient full-service vet clinic available to local pet owners. There's no need to travel to Kogarah or beyond for quality care — our clinic handles everything from routine preventative appointments through to complex surgical procedures and advanced diagnostics. We're open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 8pm, Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, and offer emergency consultations on Sundays from 10am to 12pm.

Behind every consultation at Ramsgate Vet is a team of six experienced veterinarians with a broad range of clinical expertise. Dr Nima Rahmani has been practising since 2004 and leads the team with particular strength in complex medicine, orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, and emergency care. Dr Clarence Ng holds a Graduate Certificate in Small Animal Ultrasound from the University of Melbourne and has specialist interests in radiology and oncology. Dr Marnie Flick brings a background in equine sports medicine and published research in biomarkers. Whatever your pet's needs, there's a vet on our team who has seen it before.
Comprehensive care under one roof
Monterey pet owners have access to the full spectrum of veterinary services at Ramsgate Vet — including in-house blood testing with same-day results, dental care under anaesthesia, pet laser therapy for pain and inflammation, orthopaedic surgery for joint and bone conditions, X-rays and ultrasound, and visiting specialist consultations for complex cases. Our cat-exclusive cattery, located above the main clinic and supervised by veterinary staff, also offers safe and calm boarding when you travel.

The best vets Clarence and the team helped my boots with treatment and tried to keep him alive. Later helped me to cope when he was put down he was 18. Beautiful people so caring and lovely. Even gave me wine for xmas
Our beautiful little dog was hit by a car last Friday, The team at Ramsgate vet including Jess and Clarence did everything they could for our little boy as soon as he arrived to them. They went over and above to try and help him and save his life. Unfortunately we did end up losing our little one and we are absolutely heartbroken by this sudden loss. The team has continued to offer us all of the support we need during this grieving process. We will be forever grateful for them for doing everything they could. They are a team with heart and they truly care about pets and their owners. Thank you endlessly to the team 🤍
This was our first time attending here after moving into the area. We were finding our existing “chain-owned” vet practice too impersonal / not responsive / hard to get info from etc so wanted to try something new. We were relieved to find a vet practice that still has that personal/caring/human feel. Greeted by a lovely receptionist and given practical/pragmatic and objective advice by the fantastic vet (eg no sales tactics of us buying vet products from associated companies, like some of the vet chains). Highly recommend!
